A site that was never designed for search takes far more work to rank than one that started with the right structure. Page speed, heading hierarchy, internal linking, and structured data are cheap to get right at the beginning and expensive to fix afterwards.
We build sites where those decisions are already made correctly, so the SEO work that follows compounds instead of fighting the foundations.
What we build for
For a local business, the website has one job: turn someone who is already interested into someone who gets in touch. Everything else is secondary.
- Speed. Most visitors arrive on a phone, often on mobile data. A slow site loses people before they see anything, and Google notices too.
- An obvious next step. A phone number that is tappable, a form that is short, and no ambiguity about what happens next.
- Content that answers the real questions. Coverage area, pricing approach, availability, credentials. The things people actually need before calling.

- Something you can update. If changing your hours requires a developer, the site will be wrong within a year.
Ongoing rather than abandoned
The traditional agency model delivers a website and disappears, which is how so many businesses end up with a site that was accurate in 2021. We would rather keep it current, because a website only produces enquiries while it reflects what the business actually does.

Do I need a new website to improve my rankings?
Often not. Many sites can be improved substantially without a rebuild, and we will tell you when that is the case. A rebuild is worth it when the underlying structure works against you — very slow loading, no ability to add pages, or a platform that prevents proper structured data.
How long does a new website take?
For a typical local business site, a few weeks rather than a few months. The timeline usually depends on how quickly we can gather content, photographs, and details about your services, rather than on the build itself.
Will my website work on phones?
Yes, and we design for phones first, because that is where most local searches happen. A site that works well on a desktop but poorly on a phone is failing the majority of the people who find you.
